The one thing that matters most. LookNBooks is an information and comparison website. We are not a travel agency and we do not sell travel. We never take your payment, never hold your money, and never issue a ticket, booking or confirmation. Every booking is made directly between you and the operator or travel provider, on their own website, under their terms.

1. Accepting these terms

By using looknbooks.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. We may update this page; the date above shows when it last changed.

2. What LookNBooks actually does

We research how to get from one place to another, publish what we find, and point you at whoever actually sells the ticket. Concretely, we:

publish schedules, durations, terminals, operators and route explanations;
show indicative price ranges so you know roughly what to expect;
run search tools that query third-party providers and display their results;
link you out to the operator, airline, or booking provider to complete the purchase.

We do not: take bookings, take payment, hold funds in trust, issue tickets or confirmations, act as your agent, or guarantee that any service will be available at any price.

3. Our status under Ontario law

Ontario's Travel Industry Act, 2002 regulates businesses that sell travel services in and from Ontario; those businesses must register with the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) and their customers are protected by the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund.

LookNBooks is not registered with TICO, and does not sell travel services. We are a publisher that refers you elsewhere. This matters to you in a practical way:

Because your purchase is made with the operator or provider and not with us, the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund does not cover anything you book through a link on this site unless the business you buy from is itself TICO-registered. If that protection matters to you — and for a large package or an expensive trip it may well — check whether the seller is registered, and consider booking with a registered Ontario travel agency instead. You can verify registration at tico.ca.

4. Prices and information: what we do and do not promise

We work hard to be accurate and we do not invent content. But travel data changes constantly, and we are not the source of truth for any of it.

Indicative prices shown in our written guides are dated on the page and were accurate when observed. They are illustrations, not offers, and they go stale.
Live search results come from third-party providers. We pass them through; we do not set, verify or guarantee them.
The operator's own site is authoritative. Always confirm the price, time, terminal, baggage rules and conditions there before you pay.
Schedules, durations and terminals can change without notice, including at short notice.

Nothing on this site is advice about visas, immigration, entry requirements, health, or insurance. Requirements depend on your citizenship and circumstances and change frequently — check the relevant government source and, where it matters, take professional advice.

5. Third-party websites

Our links take you to sites we do not own or control. We are not responsible for their content, prices, availability, security or privacy practices, and including a link is not an endorsement or a warranty about the provider. Once you leave, their terms and their privacy policy govern — not ours.

6. How we are paid

Some outbound links are affiliate links: if you book after following one, the provider may pay us a commission. This never changes what you pay, and it does not buy a better position in our comparisons. This is explained in full on How we make money.

7. Acceptable use

Please do not: scrape or bulk-copy the site, attempt to break or overload it, probe it for vulnerabilities outside the terms of our security contact, misrepresent the site as your own, or use it for anything unlawful.

8. Your saved trips

Trips and itineraries you create are stored in your own browser, not on our servers. That means they are not backed up, they do not follow you to another device, and clearing your browser data deletes them permanently. Please do not treat this site as the only record of your travel plans. See the Privacy policy.

9. Our content

The writing, research, layout and code on this site belong to LookNBooks. Photographs are licensed from their respective sources. You are welcome to quote us with a link; please do not republish pages wholesale.

10. Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the site or from anything you book after leaving it — including missed connections, cancelled or changed services, price differences, or a provider's acts or failures.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and none of it removes rights you have under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other applicable consumer law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there.
